My tutoring system is designed to address the individual needs of each student. It is a collaborative process in which students take an active role in identifying the areas where they need help. Before each session, students send me the problems or material they are having difficulty with, along with their work on those problems. This allows me to review the material in advance, identify areas that need attention, and prepare for the session.
During the session, we work through the underlying concepts and the specific problems that caused difficulty. I emphasize understanding how to solve a problem rather than simply obtaining the correct answer.
Students receive my worked solutions and notes from the session. As I become familiar with each student's strengths and areas of difficulty, I can focus our sessions where they will be most useful. My goal is to help students strengthen their problem-solving skills and become increasingly confident and independent in their work.
Tutoring Fees
The fee is $90 for a one-hour tutoring session, whether in person or online. The fee includes reasonable advance preparation, worked solutions, and session notes.
Payment
Payment is due at the conclusion of each session by cash, check, or Zelle.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Please notify me at least 24 hours before a scheduled session if you need to cancel or reschedule. I understand that unexpected circumstances sometimes arise. Repeated last-minute cancellations or missed appointments may result in discontinuation of tutoring services.
